A Florida month-to-month rental agreement lets landlords and tenants establish a lease of indefinite duration. Landlords and tenants may desire a month-to-month lease agreement if future plans are uncertain. The tenant, for example, may be considering moving in the near future, while the landlord might be considering developing the property. Terminating the agreement may be done at any time, pursuant to state law and other provisions of the agreement.
When the tenancy is from month to month, the tenancy may be terminated by giving not less than 15 days’ notice prior to the end of any monthly period.
