The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington is one of the largest offices representing the Czech Republic around the world. Its mission is to facilitate official communications between the government of the Czech Republic and the United States of America. The Embassy is headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, who is the highest representative of the government of the Czech Republic on the territory of the United States.

The Embassy has six departments: political, economic, public diplomacy, consular, administrative and military.

The Consular Department at the Czech Embassy handles matters regarding citizenship, passports, visas, residency, and family-related issues.

The Czech Republic is further represented in the United States by three Consulate Generals, located in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
